Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – Hardware to manage the complete product lifecycle, including market analysis, vendor management, production coordination, and inventory planning. The role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Market Analysis
- Conduct market study and benchmarking of hardware products
- Identify and shortlist suitable OEM products
- Support product specification finalization and validation
- Participate in buy / build / local / import decision-making
Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
- Liaise with government agencies for product compliance approvals
- Monitor regulatory and certification requirements
- Ensure adherence to statutory and quality standards
Production & Supply Chain Management
- Monitor production schedules and approval processes
- Coordinate order management and delivery follow-ups
- Track inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability
- Conduct PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) meetings with sales teams
- Manage forecasting and demand planning
Cost & Vendor Management
- Drive cost innovation and optimization initiatives
- Identify and develop alternate vendors and sourcing strategies
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and performance monitoring
- Track commodity prices and market trends
- Support price approvals and budgeting processes
Planning & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor AOP (Annual Operating Plan) targets and performance
- Ensure alignment between supply, demand, and financial objectives
- Provide regular reports and insights to management
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hardware product lifecycle management
- Experience in OEM sourcing and vendor management
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory processes
- Excellent analytical and forecasting skills
